 Smart physical therapists like you will soon realize that your one skill as a Physical Therapist will be limited to how many patients you can treat per day, or per hour.  Unfortunately,  there is no leverage in one on one treatment because you cannot produce better results with that model anymore due to the low reimbursements.

Cash Pay is not a business model its an exchange for solving bigger health problems not PT problems

Climbing the corporate ladder in a big box outpatient center or hospital rehab system is a road to becoming a  department manager,  another name in healthcare is compliance officer.  Compliance officers are like the police they keep everyone in line.   If this is your dream then go for it, you may make a few more dollars in the long term but it will come with a cost of stagnation clinically which is why you chose this field in the first place.

Learn the difficult things no one else is teaching you and get good with the skills no one else is comfortable showing you in order to get to financial freedom    

Going back to school for your MBA cannot teach you real business skills and will put you in more debt. You will learn from theoretical professors who never ran a small business and never actually worked in healthcare. This path certainly wont lead you to learning the business side of healthcare

I like you was once a new grad with the same dreams as you, financial freedom and doing my own thing as a practice owner.  The big difference between me and you is years of wisdom in a time when healthcare was all about capitalism now its socialized
